The Teeling Wonders of Wood Series 4: Virgin Carpathian Oak is a Single Pot Still Irish whiskey bottled at 50% ABV. It is known for its bold, tannic structure and unique profile derived from the tight-grained oak of the Carpathian Mountains.

• Nose: Delicate rosewater paired with candied fruits and the scent of freshly cut wood.
• Palate: A hit of strong spice that is balanced by mellow notes of apple, pears, and sandalwood.
• Finish: A clean exit featuring puff pastry and a subtle hint of campfire smoke. 

Key Characteristics

• Tannic Strength: Because it is matured in virgin oak with a high tannin structure, it has a more aggressive wood influence than standard releases, giving it a drying but complex character.
• Sandalwood Profile: The rare Carpathian oak is specifically noted for imparting sandalwood resin and a distinctive spiciness that separates it from American or French oak finishes.
• Non-Chill Filtered: This process preserves the fatty acids and esters, resulting in a richer, more viscous mouthfeel.
